How to upgrade the processor and memory in Apple’s new 4K iMac (06/08/17) – Read this article. Upgrading the iMac is VERY difficult. This is apparently Apple’s answer to right-to-repair legislation. Simply manufacture your product so that no one but qualified technicians can perform the task and be sure to void the warranty and Apple Care also. Now they can force you to order the amount of RAM that you want from Apple and charge an exorbitant amount of money, far more than other reputable vendors would. This is, of course, not illegal but it most surely violates the rules of fair play. How do you fight this? With your checkbook.

Microsoft wants to continue their high-handed yet legal tactics to foist Windows 10 on everyone. Their latest OS release, Windows 10 S, blocks all distributions of Linux so that it can not be installed on the unit. I really wonder why anyone wants to have anything to do with any of their products.
